**Job Summary**:
Reporting directly to the Director of Quality Management Program & Regulatory Compliance, as the Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation and customer specifications. This individual is responsible for managing the organizations quality assurance policies and controlling new product development processes. The FSQA Manager will also establish performance standards, procedures, and audit controls in order to meet business requirements, as well as Identify and implement process improvements to increase the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of company operations.

**Required Qualifications**:

- College Diploma or Degree in Food Science or related programs.
- Minimum 5 years of direct work experience within the food industry, preferably meat processing/manufacturing.
- Direct knowledge of QA systems (GFSI & HACCP)
- Experience working with CFIA regulations, guidelines, and associated standards.

**Job Duties**:

- Acts as a liaison between Beechgrove Country Foods Inc. and CFIA.
- Provide leadership developing and directing QA and quality improvement initiatives for all company products and services.
- Oversees management of the GFSI program/HACCP system.
- Monitor QA systems and advise executive team on system performance; publish statistics regarding performance against set goals.
- Issues and investigates any internal CARS in order to identify root causes, which will lead to implementing preventative measures/corrective measures.
- Investigate Customer Complaints with a target of completing the investigation within 48hours.
- Act as liaison with the customer and assume responsibility for ensuring corrective actions regarding customer complaints.
- Monitoring Raw Material Supplier complaints issued by Beechgrove and communicating with Suppliers to ensure that Beechgrove standards are being met.
- Collaborate with client-facing QA representatives to ensure full customer satisfaction with the company’s products and services.
- Conduct risk analyses, verification, validation activities, and formal design reviews, as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation when required.
- Encourage and guide staff to adopt and incorporate quality methods into their work.
- Create and maintain QA control documentation.
- Identify relevant QA training needs and opportunities.
- Maintain a constant awareness of company profitability, including budgetary control issues.
- Required to keep up with changes to the Manual of Procedures, government regulations involving food.
- Work with QA Technicians to review programs, policies and procedures in an effort to improve programs.
- Inform, train and supervise employees to follow work procedures.
- Ensure safe work practices and compliance with the health and safety policies and procedures as outlined in the health and safety activity manual.
- Conduct loss-time investigations where required, in accordance with the los-time investigation procedure. —think we need to remove.
- Perform other duties as required.

- Must possess excellent communication skills for liaising and communicating with vendors, customers, and internal departments.
- Practical experience with risk management, product testing, capability studies, and control plans.
- Highly motivated and self-directed capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with mínimal supervision.

- Able to interface directly with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to create and review technical documentation, including project plans, test procedures, and design documents.
- Able to develop, review, and maintain metrics and quality audits.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with other departments, key business partners, and government agencies.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
