Concierge/activity Aide

**Reports to**:Activity Director

**Qualifications**
1) Previous experience working with seniors, preferably in a retirement residence or long-term care setting. Diploma in Recreation & Leisure Service or Recreation Therapy an asset.

2) Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral

3) Good communication skills

4) Be able to communicate effectively with residents and staff

6) Must be a team player and be able to work independently

7) Enthusiastic and eager to learn

**Duties**:

- First contact for Active COVID screening of all staff, visitors, outside care providers and contract workers.
- Answer phones and transfer calls, use of proper phone etiquette, customer service focused
- Administrative tasks as requested
- Facilitate Recreation activities for individual, small and large group activities
- Assist in developing engaging activities for Senior Demographic
- Answer questions and direct residents
- Help with special events
- Assist in Dining Room, welcome & seat Residents, assist with serving beverages, food and engage in conversation, clear dishes if needed
- Other duties as assigned

Staff are expected to wear a mask at all times with the exception of designated break areas. COVID Vaccinated an asset.
