**RUBBER MOLDER**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Redwood Plastics is looking for a rubber molder at our Langley Branch. This position is in charge of molding rubber blocks and pads will also be molding rubber to metal components by using heated platen presses. Rubber molder requires continual heavy lifting throughout the shift, attention to detail and good organizational skills. As rubber molder you will report to the Rubber Supervisor.
- Schedule:_
- 10 hour shifts are scheduled each Monday through to Thursday_
- day shift 5:00AM to 3:30 PM, afternoon shift 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM_
- 12 hour shifts are scheduled each Friday through to Sunday _
- 6:00AM to 6:30 PM_

**Responsibilities**
- Operate molding press machines, including startup and shutdown
- Follow all established set-up and standard operating procedures
- Load mold with material and operate press to form product
- Inspect for inconsistent profile, and defects on finished product
- Manually finish mold using appropriate finishing tools (e.g. knife)
- Responsible for maintaining quality and productivity objectives

**Qualifications**
- At least 2 years manufacturing experience (rubber molding preferred)
- Ability to keep up in a fast paced environment and willing to learn new processes
- Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal skills and highly organized
- Able to read and interpret blue prints, drawings, measuring tools
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs. consistently throughout the day
- Possesses manual dexterity, strong attention to detail
- Able to prioritize and maintain productivity levels as specified
- Good mechanical aptitude, ability to follow instructions
- Able to operate or willing to learn forklift, crane and similar lifting equipment
