As a Biology Birthday Party Entertainer at BioTroopers, you will use engaging biology themed activities and crafts from BioTroopers curriculum, and show kids a party they will remember for ages, and develop love for science

Job Summary:
As a BioTrooper Party Entertainer, you will use hands-on experiments and activities from the BioTroopers curriculum or work with the Lead Instructor to design new ideas, that will make sure kids spend the 1h engaged and entertained, and also learn something new.

Please note based on interest, this position can translate into a Built Camp Instructor role for our summer camp, and after school programs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Use activities and crafts from the BioTroopers curriculum or design new ideas to plan a unique birthday party for each kid.
- On party day, arrive early to set up the party laboratory, assemble loot bags, welcome guests etc
- Provide the best entertainment to the kids in attendance using science and excitement as your main tools. Our goal here is to keep kids engaged and entertained, while they learn something new in the process.
- Make the birthday child feel extra special through our the party. It's their big day after all
- Distribute loot bags and clean up.

Qualifications:

- Experience working with children (Grade 1-4) is a must
- Must enjoy teaching kids, encouraging questions and being responsive
- Experience with hosting high energy parties is a bonus
- Background in science with focus on biology an asset
- Fun and outgoing personality

Other requirements:

- Availability on weekends as this is when parties usually happen.
- Be able to commute to the party location. This will be in the Halton region.
- Complete background check

**Job Type**: Freelance

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour
