Gemologist

Aurora Gemological Laboratories is a diamond and gemstone apraisal and certification company. We are looking to hire a part time Gemologist in Toronto to work from their own gem lab using their own instruments and measuring devices.

Key responsibilities:

- Work from their own lab to certify and appraise precious gemstones.
- Assist customers with other types of transactions, like buying or selling gemstones and jewelry.
- Create grading cards for diamonds and gemstones that will be sold online.
- Photograph and post gemstones and fine jewellery online on our website.

A portion of this role of this role will be client-facing, so amazing customer service is an asset.

Qualifications:

- A Graduate Gemologist degree, or a GIA accredited Gemologist. Must be able to grade both diamonds, and coloured stones.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- 1-3+ years of previous experience in the jewellery industry.
