**Position**: QA Technician
**Schedule**: Monday - Friday; 2:30pm - 11:00pm
**Location**: No. 6 Road
The primary function of the Quality Control Technician is to provide support to the manufacturing operations and, at times, be the sole Quality representative. He/she works with department personnel and QA leadership, providing support to achieve consistent production of wholesome and best quality products by a facility. He/she reports to the QA Supervisor.

**Summ Responsibilities**:
- Perform critical control point checks and quality checks on process as outlined in the HACCP and Quality Program requirements.
- Provide required support to and work directly with Operations team members with objectives of meeting food safety and quality requirements while maintaining efficiency.
- Communicate with other departmental supervisors in a cooperative manner to meet food safety and quality compliance.
- Conducts raw materials/packaging inspection; collects samples and performs various tests including sensory and checks ensuring food safety and food quality of product.
- Identifies non-conformances and at times, rectifies non-conformances. Assist in development of standards and quality control measures.
- Maintain calibration of quality control equipment.
- Assist in implementation of SQF policies, HACCP, and prerequisite programs
- Participate in internal auditing and investigation process for corrective and preventative actions.
- Compile records and evaluate results, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards.
- Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new procedures accordingly.
- Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
- Attend and participate in all appropriate meetings.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Quality Assurance Supervisor.
**Summ Requirements**:
- Preferably a bachelor’s degree in Food Science.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and a great team player.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work flexible hours, work alone or with mínimal supervision
- Skill in prioritization, accuracy, and strong attention to details.
- Readily accepts instruction from management/supervisors and executes effectively.
- Must be able to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing).
