HIRING: Lactation Consultant

**Job Description**:

- The MomMe Clinic is currently hiring Lactation Consultants to join our team located in Hamilton, ON. We provide a wide range of interdisciplinary services including massage therapy, occupational therapy, osteopathy, social work, pelvic physio, and other services for pediatric populations and families.
- By joining our team, you will coordinate with other clinicians from other disciplines to provide a strong continuum of care for clients while being part of a team of highly skilled, motivated and compassionate health professionals

Your role as a Lactation Consultant:

- To provide quality patient care to postpartum women and new-born patients and to support the breastfeeding experience
- Plan treatment programs, maintain clinical and progress reports, some experience in using Jane software.
- Identifying and consulting on basic and complex breastfeeding problems and developing appropriate breastfeeding plans
- Work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, physicians, and psychologists to develop treatment plans for patients
- Ensuring treatment notes are completed in a timely manner

Qualifications:

- Must be an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant
- Current BCLS certification
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Related courses in maternal/new-born nursing.
- Demonstrated ability to work with families.

**Experience**:

- 2 years (preferred)

**Job Type**:

- Part-time, fulltime employee model and Consultant model available

Schedule:

- Flexible
- Current clinic hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 am until 5:00 pm but will change as demand increases

Pay:

- Contracts will be negotiated based on years of experience

Start Date:

- As soon as possible

**Job Types**: Full-time, Freelance

**Salary**: $35.00-$49.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- Registered Nurse (RN) License (preferred)
