Alberta Law Libraries (ALL) is a province-wide network of law libraries operating within Alberta Justice and Solicitor General, Strategy, Support and Integrated Initiatives (SSII) Division. The Libraries provide access to legal information resources and legal research services to the legal community (judiciary, crown prosecutors, lawyers, law students and court employees), other libraries and the public.

**Role Responsibilities**:
Are you a dynamic, innovative person with a passion for the best client experience? If so, Alberta Law Libraries has one temporary full-time position for Law Librarians, to be located in Edmonton.

As a Law Librarian, you would:

- Provide legal and non-legal information and research services using both print and electronic resources, including legislation, case law and secondary legal materials, as well as materials from other disciplines. Take an active role in meeting and exceeding clients’ legal information needs through the investigation and implementation of SDI, current awareness and/or research and training services.
- Provide personal and group training to library users
- Promote Alberta Law Libraries to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assess, create and deliver promotional initiatives targeted to various client groups.
- Assist in planning and policy development.
- Participate in the collection development process by recommending materials to be added or withdrawn from the collections.
- Have knowledge of library principles, practices, procedures and trends.
- Possess extensive knowledge of current, comprehensive and useful legal research tools - both electronic and print.
- Demonstrate advanced reference and research skills.
- Have excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and a customer-service orientation.
- Be described as energetic and have the ability to work under pressure.
- Possess strong time management skills.
- Have expertise planning, managing and executing projects.
- Demonstrate a clear ability and strength in working independently.
- Have experience in creating, presenting and evaluating training sessions and materials.

**Qualifications**:
Masters in Library and Information Studies (MLS/MLIS) from an ALA accredited institution is required
