We are currently looking for that special someone with great compassion and leadership skills to join our Kitchen/Dining Room team. Working with the latest equipment and the unique opportunity to be part of an amazing team

**Position: Head/Lead Server**

**Shifts: Weekdays, Weekends, Holidays, On call**

The Lead Server is responsible for providing an outstanding dining experience for our residents as well as providing assistance in all dining functions.

**Requirements for a Lead Server**:

- Requires ability to relate and be respectful to a wide variety of people and provide superior customer service to all including residents, co-workers, family members and visitors.
- POS experience or willing to learn.
- Must have reliable transportation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Works with the Department Managers as necessary and implements recommended changes as required.
- In charge of schedules for servers.
- Ensures that all dining service procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
- Develops and maintains a good working rapport with internal department staff, as well as with other departments within the facility to assure that food service is properly maintained to exceed the needs of the residents.
- Oversees areas where food is served (bistro, dining rooms, kitchens and areas where catering functions are served).
- Reviews and checks all employees' side work before employees leave for the day.
- Maintains and inspects kitchen and service areas for sanitation and cleanliness.
- Trains, motivates employees as needed.
- Ensures overall employee safety through the implementation of health & safety procedures.
- Prepares the tables, laying out napkins and utensils, making sure the condiments are refilled, performing all other preparation tasks. Relays standards to servers.
- Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu deviations, knowing if the kitchen inventory is running out of any items and relays information to kitchen manger.
- Handle the table bookings, direct customers to their tables, presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing customers about food preparation details, communicating specific customer needs to the cooks.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Assisting with special events.
- Fills in for shifts if team member is not available.
- Other duties as necessary.

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- **Food Handler or equivalent (required)**:
