Landscape Laborer

Our 'Landscape Installation Crew' specializes in the installation and construction of:

- residential and commercial landscapes
- Hardscapes: paving stone patios, driveways, retaining walls, planters, outdoor kitchens, pool decks
- Softscapes: proper site grading, installation of sod & soil, installation of nursery stock

**Job Description**:

- Depending on experience and skill set, the employee will operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment and report any issues or safety concerns to the owner or foreman
- Perform tasks to assist in the installation of landscapes and related features
- Load and unload materials and tools within the designated work area
- Level materials such as soil and aggregates to owner's or foreman's specifications using shovels, rakes, or perhaps equipment (depending on individual's experience)
- Assist in the laying of paving stone slabs and retaining wall blocks

Applicant should:

- be able to perform physically demanding work
- understand and follow instructions
- be able to use manual & power tools (onsite training available if applicant is unsure how to operate)
- knowledge of safe work practices and procedures
- skid steer experience is an asset
- landscaping experience is an asset
- Class 5 Driver's License is required, however, if not possible and you feel qualified for the position, please enquire if an exception could be made

Work Conditions:

- 10 hour shifts (approximately), Monday to Friday. Weekends may be required on occasion but the employee will be made aware in advance to check their availability.

TLS - Total Landscape Solutions is a local, family owned business that has been providing Brandon & surrounding area with professional tree care & removal services, landscape installation services, and commercial snow clearing and hauling services since 2002. Even though this advertisement is looking for a 'Landscape Labourer', the employee may be asked to assist the 'Tree Care Crew' where the individual will be expected to assist the certified arborist by dragging & carrying branches, lifting & loading tree blocks, raking & cleaning up work sites, and depending on experience, may be asked to feed branches into wood chipper and perhaps use skid steer to use grapple attachment to load heavy materials into trucks and trailers.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $17.50-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- Labourer: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
