Court Services Branch is responsible for the delivery of all court administration services in BC. These consist of registry, trial support and Sheriff Services for all levels of court. The Registry provides infrastructure to support the justice system and processes documents that are required by the court to ensure timely and effective handling of court cases.

The Accounting Clerk provides accounting services relating to Courts Trust and Revenue, budget, accounts payable, accounts receivable, Witness Imprest Account, scheduling Interpreters and Witness and Interpreter payments. This position performs accounting, cashiering, data entry, administrative and counter service duties.

**Job Requirements**:

- Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum one (1) year of administrative/clerical office support experience.
- Experience handling financial transactions, accounting, or bookkeeping and using computerized cash system.
- Experience maintaining databases and tracking systems, including entering, updating, and retrieving data; ensuring data integrity; running reports; and producing financial documents.
- Experience typing at a speed of 40 wpm.
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience, education and/or training may be considered.

Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:

- Two (2) or more years of administrative/clerical office support experience.
- One (1) year experience in government accounting and/or court registry accounting.
- Court administration experience.
- Courts Trust Accounting System (CTAS), ARC and the CEIS and JUSTIN case tracking systems experience.
