The Opportunity
The City of St. Albert is recruiting an individual to join our Financial & Strategic Services department as a Property Assessor I.

Reporting to the Manager, Assessment Services, this position will be responsible for supporting the valuation of residential properties within the City of St. Albert.

**The key responsibilities will include**:

- Conducting assessment and inspections of residential properties
- Collecting, inputting, and analyzing property data
- Inputting and managing Requests For Information (RFI) received by the team
- Assist Property Assessor II’s in developing property valuations
- Preparing and presenting property appeal defences to the Local Assessment Review Board
- Responding to customer inquiries

**Qualifications**:

- Two year post secondary diploma in Appraisal/Assessment, Urban Land Economics or a related degree
- Six months relevant experience
- Access to a personal vehicle and a Class 5 driver’s license is a requirement
- Additional education in property assessment and appraisal is an asset
- Progress towards an accredited designation from Alberta Assessor’s Association registered under POARA is an asset

Hours of Work
We offer a compressed work schedule of 72 hours bi-weekly (Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00 with a regular day off [RDO] every two weeks).
Compensation
$62,959 - $77,487 per annum. In addition, the City of St. Albert offers a generous and comprehensive benefit package.
