**Job Overview**
As a RAW Colourist you will work closely with a film’s Director and/or DP to determine what texture and colour palette best serves the film, as well as sometimes assisting the conformer with online editing work or rendering versions and mastering final picture. The position supports the Supervising Colourist and Producer in the needs of the projects at the facility. Your role will involve not only technical skills but also excellent time management and communication abilities.
**Responsibilities**
- Manage or attend client sessions to determine the look of a film.
- Grade projects from start to finish.
- Upload stills or QT reviews for Producers on viewable links as needed to give notes on and address said notes.
- Communicate with VFX Producers about deliveries and placement and any issues that may arise.
- Work with the Producer and Conformer to complete and QC masters and QC fixes.
- Perform basic and advanced conform functions as needed.
- Basic composition work for minor fixes, beauty work and stabilizations within Davinci Resolve.
- Render and transcode any material required for film, video versions, web, and digital cinema.
- Communicate regularly with the Producer and Supervising Colourist on the status of the work as well as clearly define any issues that may arise.
- Any other duties as required.
**Requirements**:
- 5+ years experience grading and conforming with DaVinci Resolve and other editing/colour software.
- Full feature-length grading experience.
- Experience creating Looks and show LUTS.
- Competence with re-timing and stabilizing shots
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
- Adaptable to change, reliable and dependable.
- Strong technical background.
- Great eye for image quality.
- Strong knowledge of film and colour science.
- Thorough knowledge of various digital imaging files and data formats.
- Ability to see detailed imaging issues or technical problems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Creative problem solver, able to troubleshoot and find workarounds.
- Must be a team player who can work with the needs of other operators at the facility.
- Demonstrate initiative and strong willingness to learn.
- VFX experience is a plus.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $78,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
