Reading Tutor

- love helping children learn
- enjoy exploring and implementing ways of teaching that are interactive and fun
- if you are flexible, reliable and encouraging
- comfortable teaching neurodiverse children (i.e. children with ADHD, ASD, dyslexia)
- are available 3 to 4 days a week between 3 and 7pm for 8 hours a week or more

**Qualifications**:

- enjoy working with children, including children with learning challenges
- have teaching or tutoring experience
- be very comfortable with using online teaching apps and tech
- have an eagerness to learn new approaches/methods
- have post-secondary education or training
- have excellent grammar and spelling
- have use of a vehicle
- be able to teach BOTH online AND in person

**Tutors with the following experience and background are encouraged to apply**:

- Orton Gillingham training and or certification
- Degree or working on a degree in Linguistics, Education, TESL
- Work experience as a Special Education Assistant
- BC teacher cerification
- Five or more years as a homeschool parent

**Job Types**: Casual, Freelance

**Salary**: $25.00-$50.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

- Monday to Friday
