The Opportunity

As an Associate Account Manager in the Commercial Insurance Division, you will provide exceptional customer service experience to clients and support for the Commercial Sales Team and Marketer with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a strong attention to detail to join our Burnaby Still Creek location in a Regular Full-Time Hybrid position

Our Burnaby Still Creek head office location is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park near Brentwood Town Centre. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants and other amenities nearby.

The Responsibilities

Demonstrates strong technical insurance knowledge of coverages

Delivers exceptional customer experience to internal and external customers.

Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by supporting Account Executive/Account Manager and Marketer with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts

Acts as primary Customer Service Contact in absence of Account Executive or Account Manager

Responds to customer requests directly, submitting information to appropriate insurance companies and binding coverage where appropriate

Create an expert submission in our Broker Management System negotiate suitable rates and coverages with underwriters, present Account Executives/Account Managers with best terms and bind coverage.

Prepares proposals, customer correspondence, certificates and invoices

Processes all documentation according to Hub workflows

Reviews and manages Account Reconciliation working with Accounting Team

The Requirements

Insurance experience, preferably 2-5 years within a commercial capacity

Level 2 General Insurance License

Works independently without supervision

Superior client service, presentation and interpersonal skills

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Works well in a fast paced, client-focused environment

Intermediate to advanced MS Office knowledge, with focus on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Strong sense of urgency when handling accounts

A people person, you work to provide superior client service while working collaboratively with your production team

**Asset experience that will make you stand out**:
Recognized industry certification preferred (CAIB, CIP, CRM, BCIT Risk Management)
