SUMMARY
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focus on value our Customers want and expect
- Proactively pursue business with various customers across multiple B.C. industries
- Business development focus to identify new opportunities
- Engage Customers across their entire organization, from front-lines to senior-level executives
- Deliver bookings results for all business units within Spartan Controls
- Leverage One Spartan capabilities to drive business growth for Spartan
- Interface with multiple clients/multiple business units to deliver overall Spartan business strategy and initiatives for growth and market penetration
- Understand and communicate Customer needs and business strategy/initiatives to ensure Spartan's continued leadership in delivering creative solutions
- Develop account leadership through effective strategic account/industry planning and development
- Build strong mutually beneficial enduring relationships
- Lead a focused Spartan team delivering increased Customer loyalty and profitable growth
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelors' Degree in Engineering or a Technical Diploma in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years proven successful track record in a sales and business development role within a team environment
- Experience with consultative front-line sales activities necessary to maintain and grow business
- Broad understanding of Spartan products, services, and solutions
- Proven track record of being an Out-of-Box thinker
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly effective at building long-term relationships
- Strong ‘Customer First’ focus
- Strong ability to understand business principles and contracting strategies
- Experience in presenting complex concepts, deal making and negotiating contracts
- Ability to qualify leads and opportunities
- Growth and results oriented
- Entrepreneurial work ethic with a “do what it takes” attitude
- Valid driver’s license; regular travel is required
