Experienced Handyman

Located only a short 20 minute drive east of Parliament Hill, you will find the stunning Golf & Country Club, **Camelot** - a private member-owned club with high standards of operations, focused upon providing service excellence to our members and guests. Routinely rated as a **Top 100 Golf Course in Canada**, the club is looking for an exceptional Handyman / Maintenance agent for a short-term contract to perform a number of set maintenance & refurbishment projects before the reopening of the club.

**Duties and tasks**:

- Minor refurbishing projects
- Paint jobs
- Minor drywall repairs
- Other preventative maintenance tasks as required

**Other duties include**:

- Conducting routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address any issues or potential problems.
- Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing potential equipment malfunctions
- Repairing parts as needed to ensure proper functioning of equipment.

**Qualifications**:

- Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with team members and understand instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC.
- Ability to maintain and repair a variety of equipment and systems.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

**As this is a time-limited contract of 3-4 months (to start), we welcome retired professionals who have extensive knowledge in the field but who are looking to stay busy for a few months before summer.**
