**Salary: $27.46 - $32.81/HR - 35 Hours per Week**

**Location: Naughton, ON**

**POSITION SCOPE**:
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Mandatory Requirements_
- A university degree or a community college diploma in a related field, such as Communications, Business Administration, Hospitality & Tourism OR equivalent combinations of education and experience
- First Nations and Inuit youth, between the ages of 15-30 and who are ordinarily resident on reserve or in recognized communities
- Experience managing contracts.
- Experience providing reports to management/government programs.
- Experience in delivering presentations to groups
- A valid class “G” driver’s license and a vehicle
- Additional Requirements_
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the course of work
- Ability to work in collaboration with consultants
- Well organized, with solid priority management skills
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging and effective consultations with Band Membership on the topic of tourism
- Ability to budget and work through financial forms
- Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, and communication skills
- Understanding the needs of Indigenous people
- Experience working with multi-levels governments, local business and service providers

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Identifying opportunities to improve existing tourism products
- Identifying marketing or collaboration opportunities to improve and increase the profile of existing tourism products
- Supporting the creation of a tourism strategy
- Identifying tourism opportunities within the community
- Collecting and listening to feedback about tourism from within the community
- Generating interest in and support for tourism projects in the community
- Identifying risks and generating risk-mitigation strategies for the community
- Undertaking a research project to identify successful community tourism models and best practices
- Creating sustainability strategies for community tourism products
- Working with Indigenous Tourism Ontario (ITO) to create connections with local tourism resources such as Regional Tourism Organizations (RTOs) and Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs).
- Working with regional film partners including but not limited to the City of Greater Sudbury, Cultural Industries Ontario North, and other film-related organizations.
