**Job Overview**:
**Purpose**:
The Industrial Spray Painter paints industrial fan parts according to appropriate specifications and work instructions. This position carries out spray painting related day to day tasks in a safe and efficient manner. This position follows instructions, reads and interprets worksheets and maintains equipment to ensure quality and on-time delivery of product. Responsible for the direction and self-management related to equipment, quality control, health and safety and planning within the job/work order and collaborate with internal resources as well as external agents.

Reports to Lead Hand Assembly and interacts with the Manager Manufacturing to update, seek guidance and obtain necessary approvals.

In addition to the responsibilities listed below, employees are also expected to complete other duties as required. All employees are expected to have familiarized themselves with the Health & Safety and Human Resources manuals, work in conjunction with all policies and procedures at Daltec, complete work as assigned to the best of your abilities, including their responsibilities as outlined below.

**Key Position Responsibilities and Duties** - will include, but not be limited to:
**Operations**
- Mixes paints safely and accurately.
- Responsible for reading job/work orders and following directions to paint parts which meet specification and quality standards.
- Accurately complete finished paint reports.
- Maintains all paint equipment to ensure it is in safe and proper working condition.
- Inspects parts after painting process to ensure quality.
- Maintains accurate paint specifications and data sheets
- Stainless steel weld clean up.
- Quality check pre and post painting to reduce re-work costs for Assembly Department
- Material handling of finished parts as required.
- Maintain paint stock levels.
- Assist in assembly department to assemble and test fans and complete manufacturing test reports.

**Health and Safety**
- Keep work area clean and tidy.
- Ensure all paint and solvents are properly bonded/grounded when dispensing as required.
- Ensure all paint and solvents are stored in approved cabinet after each use.
- Follow all job specific processes and safety policies at all times.
- Contribute to a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
- Report any accidents, injuries or unsafe working conditions to Management immediately.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**
- Successful completion of secondary school graduation diploma or equivalent with high math scores

**Experience**
- 2-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment operating industrial paint equipment required.
- Prior training and experience operating forklifts, overhead and jib cranes a definite asset.
- Basic computer experience

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Outstanding math skills and ability to mix paint with accuracy.
- Basic computer experience
- Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS Regulations.
- Knowledge of proper bonding and grounding requirements associated with industrial painting.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret instructions and worksheets.
- PPE - knowledge and use of proper PPE for painting
- Ability to safely and competently operate any or all of the equipment associated with the paint process.
- Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and accuracy at all times.
- Ability to work effectively unsupervised as well as collaborates within an active team.
