**Position Summary**:
The Manager, Project & Training Bids is a senior expert with a background in international business development and is skilled in navigating partnerships focused on international contract delivery. The incumbent will report to the Director, International Training & Development and work with the Directors and Business Development Managers of Seneca International (SI) to drive new international business opportunities. The incumbent is responsible for identifying bids that fit with Seneca’s core capabilities, creating a pipeline of bid opportunities, managing bid communications with internal and external stakeholders, coordinating and assessing project parameters, including deliverables, milestones, resources, SMEs and budgets, compiling proposals with input from multiple internal and external stakeholders to meet compliance with procurement guidelines, manage and monitor all project costs and adhere to funder and client reporting requirements, and support in building a team who will bid and manage global projects.

A key attribute that the incumbent brings to this role is the ability to rapidly build strong working relationships with international operations, international business development, global learning and engagement, and academic teams and SMEs who are part of project teams and a broader global team involved in project execution.

**Responsibilities**:
**International Opportunity Assessment**
- In collaboration with the Executive Director and Director of International Training and Development, identify target projects and partnerships based on Seneca’s core strengths. Build and maintain a global network of partnerships with major international organizations and funders who focus on international development and training initiatives (e.g., Governmental organizations, intergovernmental/multi-lateral/regional organizations, non-governmental organizations, academic organizations, research institutes, foundations, consultancies, student-based organizations).
- Remains current and attends geopolitical education and training events worldwide and recommends revision of current development and training products and services.
- Reviews global trends in corporate and government training needs (including re-training, upskilling, and similar processes) and maintains regular communications with Seneca International’s network of contacts around the world.

**Bid and opportunity management**
- Collaborates and supports in the bidding, negotiation, and management of development and training contracts.
- Supports opportunity assessment including preparation, viability testing, and execution of next steps.
- Supports SI and other Seneca team members in mapping project opportunities to SME capabilities and Seneca Polytechnic’s capacity.
- Assesses project alignment with Seneca Polytechnic’s core strengths and capacity to deliver.
- Executes international projects including coordination of resources, team updates, deliverables tracking, budgeting, evaluation, and reporting.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**
- Minimum completed Master’s degree. Concentration in international development, international business, or human resources management is an asset.

**Experience**
- Minimum seven (7) years of related work experience in an international setting and context.
- International project management in the education and training sector experience is a requirement.
- Post-secondary, NGO, or government sector experience is an asset.
- Proven record of successful bidding, negotiating, and delivery of development and training contracts.

**Skills**
- Demonstrable bid skills and experience, including writing, communications, and presentations.
- Adept at researching to address requirements that support successful international project bid wins and execution.
- Self-starter and motivated to manage and deliver against project targets.
- or partner-specific requirements.

**Note**:

- This position may involve both domestic and international travel in support of international project business development, partner relationship management, and project delivery (historically around 2-3 times per year but may vary with operational needs.)
