Behavior Interventionist

**Overview**
A family in Coombs is looking for an experienced Behavior Interventionist (BI) to work with their school aged children. The BI will provide 1:1 behaviour intervention that is tailored to meet the needs of each child.

All work is completed in the child’s home and/or community and is overseen by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with initial and ongoing training and support provided. The BCBA will provide a full plan of intervention for the BI to implement along with specific program training. The family is flexible with day/time and would likely be looking for a BI that can commit to 3+ two hr sessions each week.

Must have education in a related field, and previous work experience with children with special needs in a BI role. Wage dependent on experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan activities that incorporate teaching opportunities for individualized goals.
- Implement behavior modification strategies and monitor progress.
- Collect data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for children.

**Skills**:

- Proficient in data collection methods.
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in a special education setting.
- Excellent client care skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding of individual needs.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 10 per week
