We are currently seeking **Part-Time Dietary Aides** to work with our **AbleLiving Binbrook Team** at our congregate living program

**AbleLiving Services** is part of the Thrive Group. We are a not for profit organization that provides services that are funded through the Local Health Integration Network of Hamilton, Norfolk, Haldimand, Brant (HNHB LHIN). Ableliving opened its doors in 1978 with the first project being our Binbrook location. We continue to build the organization and provide exceptional services with the support from the HNHB LHIN. Our Binbrook location provides supports for individuals with disabilities, seniors, as well as those with long term chronic ventilation support needs.

**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Support Services Coordinator and taking direction for task completion from the Cook, this position works as part of the Food Services Team to assist the Cook to plate and serve meals following all safe food handling protocols and regulations. Ensures that all dishes, glasses, silverware, pots, pans and cooking equipment are sanitized and stored using processes as outlined. Maintains the cleanliness of all food preparation surfaces and kitchen environment. Complies with all processes and protocols in order to work in a healthy and safe manner and ensure the health and safety of others in the kitchen environment.

**Must be available for rotating shifts and every other weekend. **Please note that our Binbrook location is not accessible by public transportation.**

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to read, understand and write in the English language; must be able to follow verbal and written instruction.
- Must have a genuine interest in working with vulnerable populations.
- Must demonstrate ability to work efficiently, effectively and meet required timelines.
- Must be able to maintain a clean/sanitary work area.
- Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position which include but are not limited to: standing, shifting, leaning over stoves/grills, reaching, bending, lifting/moving items of variable weights.
- Must be able to maintain regular and consistent attendance, be punctual and meet pre-determined deadlines.
- Must be able to maintain a clean and tidy personal appearance and adhere to relevant health and safety regulations/procedures.
- Must have current Food Handlers Certificate

**As a condition of employment, you are required to provide proof that you are fully vaccinated or provide proof of valid exemption satisfactory to the employer prior to your start date.
