Shop Janitor

The **Shop Janitor **is responsible in maintaining the cleanliness of the production floor to ensure the workplace is presentable and safe at all times.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Maintain cleanliness within the production and non-productions areas of the facility; including, but not limited to the production floor, lunchroom, office, changeroom, bathrooms, etc
- Ensure all washroom supplies are fully stocked and place order as needed
- Sweep and mop floors, prioritize immediate needs, such as spills, to ensure safety and comfort of staff and visitors
- Reports any issues to the supervisor
- Undertake minor repairs, with approval issued by supervisor
- Monitor and report inventory re-orders for First Aid stations
- Removes trash and recycling
- Assists in maintaining order of inventory in shop stockroom
- Uses common cleaning tools, follows appropriate cleaning processes

**Qualifications & Skills**
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior janitorial experience in an industrial setting is preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning supplies and techniques
- Able to perform basic maintenance and repairs
- Punctual and reliable
- Works well independently and has strong time management skills
- Follows written and verbal instructions from supervisor
- Effective communication skills

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
