**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Furniture Specifier will primarily be responsible for preparing quotes for our Dealers and liaising with our internal Client Services and Design Engineers to build creative solutions and provide our Dealers with the optimal customer experience. _If you are self-starter who is interested in developing your skills within the office furniture industry, then this is the job for you_
**What You Will Do**:
- Prepare furniture layout drawings, renderings, 3D drawings and complete proposal packages.
- Create quotes for our Dealers by identifying the customer's requirements including scope, budget and competitive information; create a solution, and source all pricing.
- Audit specifications against drawings, producing order-ready documentation. Consult with Dealer for any changes or revisions.
- Prepare accurate orders to include product specification, quantities, discounts, pricing, and other service instructions and/or direction.
- Manage multiple projects; establishing acceptable timelines, effectively prioritizing them while maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity, and ensuring the work is completed on time.
- Consult with the Engineering Team in the layout, design and space planning of furniture specifications for client offices.
- Provide professional customer interface by regularly attending client planning meetings to determine furniture needs and develop solutions to meet these needs.
- Verify finished approval drawings against specifications and order details; obtain customer sign-off.
- If required, work with Project Manager on project development and execution.
- Keep management informed by submitting project updates.
- Other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the business.

**Requirements**:
- 5 + years' experience as a furniture specifier or within a similar role.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Windows including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM Software
- Robust knowledge of space planning including AutoCad, Project Spec, Visual Impressions, or other similar programming
- Is a problem solver with the ability to work independently as well as in a group setting.
- Ability to multi-task and deliver tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to work well with others and take direction and criticism in a positive manner.
- Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly and to ensure they are clearly communicated to an audience.
