The Marketing & Communications team is responsible for managing the Agencies’ reputation and enhancing visibility. The **Communications and Marketing Assistant** plays an integral role increasingengagement, and support for the agency's initiatives and services.

**ABOUT YOU**

You are a marketing/graphic design/communications design/communications/student returning to school in the Fall 2024. This position is a temporary full-time student position for 8 weeks.

You are a team player with great interpersonal skills and a desire to learn. You are patient, kind and proactive, adept at solving problems. You have excellent graphic design skills, excellent writing skills and a strong desire to serve your community and make a difference in people’s lives. You are helpful and tech savvy. You are able to work with people from all walks of life with kindness and respect.

**RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES**

Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Coordinator, these positions are responsible for the following:

- Connecting with program staff to produce social media content to raise awareness of our programs and services.
- Collaborating with staff across the organization on committees and projects.
- Research and development of program specific content, statistics, and information.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Relevant post-secondary experience
- Excellent graphic design skills - Expert with Canva and Adobe Creative Suites experience is a plus
- Excellent writing skills with a great appreciation to detail, tone and message
- Thorough working knowledge of Office 365, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience making social media content
- Knowledge of charitable or non-profit environment working environments would be an advantage
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, willingness to learn, problem-solve and innovate

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $18.75 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
