Seed Lab Assistant

Bonnyville Forest Nursery is looking for a seed lab assistant who will be working alongside the other lab assistants, and under the lab manager's supervision.

The lab assistant works both in the lab and in the greenhouses and executes all day-to-day operations from receiving and storing the seeds, testing the capacity of germination and the viability of the seeds, cleaning and drying the seeds, executing the stratification and any other tasks related to the seeds and plant material. The lab assistant is also responsible for keeping accurate inventories in the lab and in the greenhouses. The lab assistant also executes diverse greenhouse operations and crop maintenance as required.

Assests:
High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
