Mi’KMA’KI-Municipal GP (MMGP), a member of the Municipal Group of Companies is seeking **Off Highway Truck Operators** to support construction of renewable energy projects in the **Antigonish, NS area**.

MMGP through membership in the Municipal Group, is firmly embedded in the construction industry of Eastern Canada and as an organization we have been operating in the region for well over 50 years.

As part of Nova Scotia’s transition to renewable energy, MMLP has been awarded a variety of projects in the region to support large scale wind farm development. Our work typically includes a variety of civil construction tasks including road building, water crossings, cast-in-place concrete, pre-cast concrete installation, and various other earthworks.

**Job Summary**:
Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Off Highway Truck Operator is responsible for moving soil and gravel around jobsites. The Off Highway Truck Operator is also responsible for inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining the equipment and performing repairs as required.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Moving soil and gravel around sites.
- Responsible for understanding issues involving ground disturbance
- Perform and document daily safety and maintenance checks
- Advise the Supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
- Be aware of surroundings at all times
- Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
- Protect and promote the interest of this company in all matters and to take actions as required to satisfy such responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience**:

- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Off Highway Truck Operator.
- Experience operating loaders, boom truck, and/or dozer would also be considered asset.
- Must be well versed in construction site protocols, rules, and codes of conduct.

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Off Highway Truck Operator: 8 years (required)
- Heavy equipment operation: 1 year (preferred)
