Natural Forces Solar is based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia with projects across Canada and the Caribbean. We are seeking a professional to fill the position of Estimator. This is a full-time role based in Dartmouth, NS. The primary responsibilities for this role will be:

- Assembling bid packages for all future projects
- Compiling and analyzing data on factors that mitigate project risk and influence safety, quality and cost
- Creating and maintaining relationships with valued clients and partners

The position will involve any of the following:
**Client Relations**
- Meet with clients and stakeholders to understand the goals and the requirements of their renewable energy projects
- Outline system design options to ensure requirements are met
- Discuss costs and benefits of system design options in a clear and concise manner

**Partner Relations**
- Maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors and consultants that have been involved in our renewable energy projects
- Expand estimating datasets by engaging with new vendors, subcontractors, and consultants, researching industry data, etc.
- Prepare and distribute Request for Quotations to subcontractors, vendors, and consultants
- Evaluate Quotations against technical project requirements
- Assist with negotiations and contract clarifications

**Site Assessments**
- Capture existing conditions through remote and on-site assessments
- Operate an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to gather current site information
- Work alongside third-party consultants to gather detailed information for proposed project sites

**Bid Preparation**
- Interpret specifications and design drawings to define scope of our bid and the required contents of our bid package
- Work with third-party consultants to revise preliminary drawing packages to produce Issued for Tender drawings
- Work with Project Managers to prepare project budgets, work breakdown structures, responsibility matrices, and schedules
- Prepare and submit bid packages in response to Tenders, RFPs, RFEOIs, and RFIQs

**Education and Experience Requirements**
- University Degree or College Diploma in science, engineering, electrical, technology or other related field
- 2 years professional experience in engineering or construction
- Previous experience working in renewable energy considered an asset
