Total compensation includes salary, retirement plan, health benefits, and paid time off. The following factors determine the final salary:

- The educational level attained in 1) a biology-related field and/or 2) computer science or related field
- Relevant years of experience in academic research and/or commercial environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with customers

Role Description:

- Execute on client Bioinformatics data processing and analysis projects across a wide variety of domains in genomics and bioinformatics
- Execute on projects in processing and analysis of DNA and RNA. Data type examples include DNA-seq, RNA-seq, MicroArray, GWAS, WES
- Implement and/or tailor best practices for creation of script-based pipelines and data analysis methods
- Maintenance of and improvements to existing client genomic/transcriptomic pipelines, bioinformatics tools, and related software and systems
- Create script-based tools that automate and solve customer problems using R and or python
- Deliver scientific reports and presentations to various internal and external stakeholders
- Help scope new and existing client projects

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated experience (must have one) and confidence in writing code in Python or R
- Demonstrated experience (nice to have) in using cloud platforms (ex - AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Demonstrated experience (must have) in using containerization platforms ( ex - Docker)
- Demonstrated experience (nice to have) in workflow/pipeline management systems (ex - SnakeMake, NextFlow, etc)
- Demonstrated experience (must have) in single cell RNA-seq data pre-processing, processing and analysis
- Demonstrated experience (must have) in bulk RNA-seq data pre-processing, processing and analysis

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Casual
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $72,011.00-$101,022.00 per year
