We are looking for a quality and leadership focused individual to join our North American Construction Team as a **Retail Construction Project Manager **based in Vancouver, BC.
**Your core RESPONSIBILITIES will include**:
- Providing support to the North American Construction team including;
- Leading the project management and organization of retail shop fit outs including quality, relevance and timeliness of new shop construction, refits and refreshes and store maintenance of existing shop locations
- Maintaining and developing retail shop construction property reports used by the Retail Construction Team and the Retail Design Team, sharing with them an overview of the job and timing
- Assisting the retail team to accurately interpret construction information impacting the business
- Continually improving support to retail business by assessing needs and providing forward looking insight
- Maintaining a rolling forecast relating to maintenance of all shops and job locations
- Coordinating and preparing job start-ups and close downs
- Streamlining reporting processes to meet needs of both external and internal users for job close-outs
- Providing project-specific assistance to all retail store teams, Design, Property, Merchandising and Accounting
- Supporting the running programs up-to-date (Site Folio, Concur, etc.)
- May perform other duties as required
**You bring the following QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Required**:
- 5+ years of related experience in retail construction and project management in Canada and the US (individual stores, shopping malls, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience in a project lead role
- Demonstrated knowledge of carpentry and millwork
- Strong budget analysis and management skills
- Experience in phased construction projects in newly opened and existing retail stores
- Practical hands-on experience in the management of the design and construction process
- Ability to develop relationships and leverage business partners to complete tasks and achieve desired outcomes
- Ability to multitask and deal with competing priorities
- Ability to assist and install company furniture (know how all components that make up a retail space are built)
- Ability to interpret all M.E.P plans, architectural plans and structural plans
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work hard and calmly under pressure to achieve deadlines
- Flexibility and dedication to work extra hours as needed
- Ability to work independently in a collaborative and creative work environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Keen eye for detail
- Proactive approach and initiative
- Self-motivated and results oriented with a focus on delivering high quality work
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (must hold a valid passport)
**Preferred**:
- Knowledge or expertise with Site Folio, Concur, MS Suite, Google Suite
- PMP and LEED certifications an asset
