**Arclin, **who is a leading manufacturer of decorative and industrial surfaces overlays, as well as resin and chemical manufacturing, is currently looking for **Production Operators **for our **Cobourg, ON **location. Reporting into the **Production Lead**, this position is a full-time role that will start in an entry position in our packaging department, but has **multiple opportunities to cross-train in other production roles and advance in pay**. Operators are responsible for performing tasks and duties pertaining to the manufacturing and processing of impregnated surfaces at the site. This role is required to know and perform all assigned production department functions in compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations and Arclin’s policies and procedures to contribute positively to an efficient and safely run operation.
**Pay Rate**:
$20.50 - $30.50/hour
Automatic raise to $21.53 after 3 months
**BONUS**
One-time payout of $1500 (taxable) after 120 days of employment with Arclin.
- Employee must be free of attendance, safety and performance infractions to qualify_
**Production Operator Job Responsibilities**:
**Entry Level (packaging department) -**
- Inspects and packages final product, according to established procedures, standards and HSE regulations
- Verifies basic product label information, such as dimensions, sheet counts, etc.
- Assists production line operators with pallet changes, clean ups and start ups
- Maintains general housekeeping of production areas
- Assists with larger production area cleaning tasks
- Reports all safety concerns immediately to Production Lead, HSE Lead or site Leadership team
**Other Skill Development Opportunities (production line/floor operators) -**
- Operate a forklift safely to move large pallets (empty & with product) throughout facility
- Operate a clamp truck safely to move large paper rolls from warehouse to production area
- Operate the production lines, using centerline process information to maintain each product specification
- Complete and report quality testing accurately
- Visually monitors processes within their area of accountability and immediately informs the Production Lead of any deviations or abnormalities
- Works in close coordination with the Production Lead to accomplish the tasks needed to safely and efficiently meet production schedules across all processes
- Communicates and confers with the Production Lead, as well as with Technical, Supervisory, and Support Personnel to resolve process conditions affecting safety, efficiency, and product quality
- Responds to process alarms and interlocks promptly and coordinates timely confirmation and corrective actions to resolve conditions generating the alarms and interlocks
- Performs troubleshooting in the event of process deviations
- Reports all safety concerns immediately to Production Lead, HSE Lead or site Leadership team
- Participation in the Joint Health and Safety Committee to facilitate safety improvements is a plus
**Production Operator Job Requirements**:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Good attention to detail required
- Be able to accurately read and use a tape measure
- Must be ok with rotating 12 hour shifts (Days/Nights continental rotation)
- Must be ok with following strict Health and Safety Guidelines and wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend throughout a 12 hour shift
- Able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
- Basic computer skills required
- Basic math skills required, including the basic use of a calculator
- Forklift experience a plus; would need to become recertified on site
- Analytical and mechanical mindset an asset
- Previous manufacturing experience a plus

- **Employee Incentive Program**:Each position is eligible for a bonus of 5% - 10% of their base annual earnings, depending on company performance
- **2 weeks Paid Vacation to start & Paid Holidays (12 days)**:
- Entitled to two (2) weeks’ paid vacation per year, with first year pro-rated based on start date. You will be paid at your normal rate of pay for any vacation time taken.
- Goes up to three (3) weeks’ paid vacation after 3 years
- Production Operators are paid for 12 hours on statutory holidays (10 days in total annually plus 2 float days)
