Covar Pharmaceuticals provides formulation development contract services for pharmaceutical products at all development stages with a focus on new chemical entities and novel technologies. We offer consulting, formulation development, analytical development and clinical supply manufacturing to Canadian and international clients from our facility in Mississauga, Ontario. Covar supports all aspects of formulation development, including formulation development, method development, chemical development, taste masking, preservative assessment, pack selection, process development and product registration.

Covar is led by experienced industry experts. Before joining Covar, our team was involved in the development of a wide variety of products and dosage forms at several large pharmaceutical companies.

Pharmaceutical Research Chemist Responsibilities:

- Design and perform sophisticated analytical method development and validation experiments, including liquid chromatography, spectroscopy, dissolution, particle size (laser diffraction/sieve analysis), titrations & wet chemistry
- Ultimately lead a project team to coordinate analytical development projects
- Design and lead implementation of analytical instrument qualification, calibration and maintenance programs
- Develop advanced knowledge of relevant FDA and Health Canada cGMP requirements and assist in continuous improvement in the quality system

**Requirements**:

- M.Sc./PhD degree in Analytical, Medicinal, or Organic Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- CV or resume
- Undergraduate and graduate transcripts (unofficial)
- Academic/professional references will be requested following initial interviews

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
