**Job Scope**:
You will be reporting directly to the Controller. As part of the various accounting duties, you will be managing the accounting team. Preparing and managing monthly financial statement close and reconciliation. Additional responsibilities will include analysis of financial information to determine present and future financial performance. Project management and process improvement within the department.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Duties and Responsibilities:_
- Lead the month close process and process improvement of the month end close process.
- A lead on the financial statement audit.
- Diligently prepare and reviewing various balance sheet account reconciliations, obtain the necessary detailed transactions for the account and investigate and correct reconciling items.
- Utilize analytical review techniques when reviewing journal entries, account activity, and account reconciliations, to ensure accurate reporting by identifying discrepancies or errors.
- Preparing various monthly financial reports and adhoc reports that support business decisions.
- Ensure that the appropriate accounting and internal control policies, procedures and practices are implemented to enable the preparation of financial statements.
- Be a project manager for new projects that add value to the organization.
- Respond to internal or external requests or inquiries.
- Perform other duties as required.

**What You’ll Bring to the Team**
- Qualifications and Requirements:_
- Degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting.
- Accounting Designation is required.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in an accounting managerial role**.**:

- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of audit experience.
- Previous experience in a related field, and knowledge of rental construction equipment is an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel & Power BI.
- Prior experience with Texada will be an asset.
- Prior experience with Blackline will be an asset.
- Proficient with full-cycle accounting.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting.
- Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills and a willingness to take initiative.
