All products sold in the shop are made in the shop by the same butchers that serve you. Developing a relationship with every customer that comes through our doors is extremely important to us as it allows us to understand the needs and expectations of our clientele. We consider ourselves a neighbourhood shop, so our clientele is an extension of our families.

Caprae & Suidae is a very busy, high-functioning butcher shop. We have two locations, at 1903 avenue road and 3359 Yonge St. in Toronto, ON. We have been operating since 2016 and are a very creative environment in a very affluent area. We are currently looking for full-time and part-time butchers to join our team. There are opportunities for growth and for those who want to learn the butchery business at a very high level.
- Cutting, grinding and preparing meats for sale to the public
- Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
- Ensuring displays and signage are accurate and attractive.
- Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products.
- Keeping records, inventory and rotation
- Performing quality inspections on meats and other products.
- Adhering to food safety and sanitation controls.
- Speak to customers to determine their needs, provide advice regarding proper cuts of meat and preparation methods
- Help coordinate pickups or deliveries.

**Skills**
- Experience in food preparation and meat cutting
- Knowledge of meat preparation techniques and cuts.
- Ability to use hand tools
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
- Lift heavy items, and work in cold environments
- Strong communication, task management, and customer service skills.
- Additional training will be provided
- *Food Handling certification an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
