**About the Opportunity**:
The Chaplain of Spiritual & Religious Care is an integral member of the team providing services to clients, their families, and staff. The primary focus of the position is to restore and promote spiritual and religious well-being. Services are delivered through a continuum of care consisting of spiritual and religious interventions, education, group activities, community integration, and health promotion/prevention.

The primary focus of Spiritual and Religious Care is the use of various spiritual modalities to contribute to the individual's recovery. The Chaplain participates in appropriate committees and other interdisciplinary functions, maintains working relationships with faith groups in the community, and with the provincial Spiritual & Religious Care team.

**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

- Graduate of a Masters of Divinity or equivalent
- Current registration or eligible for registration with Canadian Association for Spiritual Care
- Three (3) years of Chaplin experience within a health-care setting with experience in the areas of oncology and palliative care an asset
- Experience counseling individuals through loss and grief
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Successful external applicants are required to provide a criminal record check (including Vulnerable Sector Search) to People Services before starting employment and assume any associated costs as a condition of employment.

**Hours**:

- Short assignment, Full-time / 1.0 FTE / 70 Hours Bi-weekly
- Approximately 5 months

**Compensation and Incentives**:
$37.61- $47.01 Hourly
