We are currently looking for a Development Manager to join our dynamic team.
**Summary**
The Development Manager will be responsible for managing the development of existing and new Real Estate projects. This position is responsible for the successful execution of projects on time and on budget. The Development Manager oversees the operational aspects of properties including implementing and managing the development of high-quality housing, from the earliest visioning stages through construction completion.
**Project Development**
- At project onset, assist Ownership & Sales Manager by providing market research for the highest and best property use including unit mix, key amenities and overall look and design of building.
- Coordinate with external cost consultant and internal controller to determine overall budget for accuracy of project performance.
- Facilitate pre-consultation package with lead architect, consultants and external planner for a successful launch meeting with the city.
**Real Estate Project Management**
- Facilitate weekly or bi-weekly meetings with consultants, track and issue minutes and deliverables. Follow-up with consultants to ensure deliverables are met.
**Operations Management**
- Coordinate design details of suite plans, amenities and interior finish packages-based budget and market.
- Facilitate with sales and marketing on review and sign off of suite plans, amenities and interior finishes.
- Work with external consultants to provide Company and Operations Manager with exterior and interior renderings to assist with a successful marketing campaign.
**Key Qualifications**:
- A degree or diploma in pre-construction project management, architectural design, planning or comparable education.
- Proficient in creating project plans and deliverables for accuracy and timelines.
- 3+ years in project management in development or comparable firm.
- Strategic thinker, able to attend to details while keeping big-picture goals in mind.
- Able to understand, interpret and translate complex and /or technical concepts and ideas through written and verbal communication.
- In-depth ability to review city comments and communicate to consultants to fulfill required conditions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills used to communicate strategic project objectives.
- Highly organized and able to multi-task in order to manage diverse workloads of oneself and other team members, with competing timelines.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment, with limited guidance.
- Strong ability in reviewing work done by others to ensure accuracy or assumptions.
- Firm knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Able to be flexible and adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
- Knowledge of project management tools and software.
**Compensation**:
- $150K, three weeks of vacation, H&D benefits, + bonus
