**Marketing Automation Specialist**:

The Revenue and Research team, within the Marketing Department, is a trusted partner that departments across the organization can turn to for information when they need to make evidence-based decisions relating to the audiences they serve and the revenue they deliver.

This position may be performed remotely, but some onsite work in Stratford, Ontario may be required for project completion.

**Responsibilities**:
The **primary function** of this role is to understand, develop and optimize the wide variety of ways that new and existing customers interact with the Stratford Festival using marketing automation drive ticket sales and membership/donation income as the product owner of our marketing automation systems. This includes:

- Under the Direction of the Associate Director, Analytics, lead the implementation of the Festival's new marketing automation system, including the training of key power users.
- Identifying different segmentation criteria based on audience behaviour, demographic, geographic, and psychographic characteristics.
- Running A/B tests for campaigns to optimize performance across marketing channels.
- To lead and develop marketing automation programs across the marketing team (Website Manager, Social Media Manager, Marketing Campaign & Operations Manager, Digital Marketing Manager, Graphics Studio Manager, Associate Director, Marketing) and cross-departmentally (Advancement, IT, Audience Development) to drive results and create alignment with all marketing channels.
- Monitor and optimize existing automation campaigns.
- Create daily, weekly and monthly dashboards and reports to track results.
- Encourage organizational partners to continually innovate through marketing automation strategies and tactics.
- As primary product owner of the marketing automation platform, onboard and train new users and ensure adherence to company standards, update and maintain customer lists.
- Documents all marketing automation strategies and outputs and training programs to allow holiday and illness coverage.
- Lead the implement of the Festival's SMS strategy for segmented patron communication that integrates with the Festival's full complement of digital communication.

The **secondary function** of this role is to be a key power user of Tessitura CRM and provide redundancy for priority standard operating responsibilities of the Research and Revenue Team. This includes:

- Assist Tessitura Administrator with system tasks such as ticket setup/administration and Advancement department configuration in both Tessitura and TNEW.
- Participate in departmental revenue maximization strategies such as yield management, ticketing pricing, discounting programs, and build strategies to implement these areas into our marketing automations.
- Assist with managing patron database tasks such as correcting duplicate accounts, updating information, and working closely with all departments to record and report on patron, donor, and participant information.
- Execution of complex lists and extractions for various departmental needs.
- Assist with documenting organizational best-practice processes in addition to maintaining internal documentation and training materials to support each department's user and training needs.

**Additional Duties and Responsibilities**
- Keep abreast of industry news, trends and best practices in marketing automation.
- Ensure that the Festival is maximizing its use of its new marketing automation system and new features that are developed.
- Adhere to the Stratford Festival Health & Safety Commitment and Procedures, and ensure that safe work practices and policies are supported and enforced within reporting structure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- University Degree or equivalent education and experience in computer science, data management/analytics, communications, business administration or relevant degree and/or working experience in the field.
- A minimum of five years of experience in data management/analytics or CRM, with at least 2 years in a lead role. Leading the implementation of a new platform or product is a plus.
- Advanced experience with Tessitura CRM, Wordfly or Active Campaign/Prostpect2 are required, with skills to train others.
- High level of technical competency and a love of exploring new digital platforms and their potential to acquire and retain audiences in new and unique ways.
- Strong time management skills, attention to detail, self-awareness, a spirit of curiosity with a strong ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
