This position requires an individual who is highly motivated with outstanding organizational skills.

With maximum efficiency and following all store safety policies and procedures, maintain a safe, secure, and clean chlorine filling station. Maintain open communication between yourself and the management team to ensure the highest level of customer service.

OBJECTIVES
- Develop and implement organized procedures to ensure safe chlorine handling
- Encourage and maintain a safe, clean and well organized chlorine filling station as well as a welcoming storefront
- Follow store procedures to ensure overall tight Inventory Control at all times
- Develop strong customer service skills and represent our company in a professional and courteous manner

ACCOUNTABILITIES Chlorine
- Securely attach wireless telephone daily to keep open communication with cashiers. You are responsible for replacing and charging the wireless telephone every evening.
- Unlock chlorine hut for daily use and confirm that eyewash station and shower are in working order
- Follow company Store and Safety policies for proper handling of liquid chlorine. You MUST wear your personal safety goggles, rubber apron and rubber gloves while filling liquid chlorine containers at all times. All personal gear is located and stored in your personal tote. THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY. You will have been trained on use of the eyewash station, shower, WHIMS, MSDS sheets and First Aid procedures prior to your first shift.
- Each morning, start the shift with 30 filled chlorine jugs and replenish throughout the day.
- Each evening, fill 20 service chlorine jugs for service vehicles the next morning.
- Check every jug for cracks or leaks and dispose of broken jugs in the dumpster.
- Fill the jugs to the proper level and tighten the lids, making sure that the lid is sealed without leakage.
- Constantly throughout the day, wipe down all jugs with water and dry off, make sure that each jug has a clean and legible warning label in place
- Cover filled jugs with cardboard or vinyl in very hot, dry temperatures.
- When customers bring out their empty jugs, make sure you see the receipt, noting the date and chlorine amount, and mark the receipt with a highlighter and return the receipt to the customer.
- For customers purchasing salt or sand, check the customer’s receipt to confirm the purchase and amount of items, we do not need an unhappy customer when they arrive home with the wrong product.
- Chlorine hut to be cleaned daily, a to-do list will be made weekly and tasks will be initialed as completed
- Notify General Manager of Retail Operations when chlorine jugs, lids, seals, filter sand, Zeobrite or salt are running low
- Notify Financial Manager when liquid chlorine is running low

Store Maintenance
- Clean/Tidy Kitchen daily and replenish paper towels as needed
- Tidy 4 washrooms and stock paper supplies daily
- Vacuum carpets and sweep and wash floors in store daily
- Collect garbage throughout store and take garbage and cardboard to appropriate areas daily
- Take all garbage and cardboard to appropriate areas daily
- Stock up paper towels, toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, hand soap and disinfectant weekly, check to make sure that the supplies are not low and advise Financial Manager when supplies need to be ordered

**Grounds and Pool Court Maintenance**
- Walk the property twice daily for litter and to assess staff and customer safety - parking lots, store entrances, side driveway, pool court and chlorine alley
- Sweep or wash down driveway entrances daily or as needed, as well as parking lots and chlorine alley
- Daily, weed and water front gardens, parking lot curbs, pool court and along fence line of side driveway and chlorine alley.
- Wash windows inside and out - weekly
- Empty Butt Stop weekly
- Pressure wash building siding weekly before store opens every 2 weeks
- Tidy chlorine alley daily - no standing water in buckets, cleaning supplies and equipment put away
- Check water chemistry daily with test strips to ensure optimal pH and sanitizer levels
- Provide water samples weekly to Water Testing Team Leader for analysis and recommendations
- Be aware of each individual pool’s sanitizing system and administer chemicals as needed
- Check pump baskets and empty skimmer baskets daily
- Inspect pool equipment to ensure that pools and equipment are in good working order and wipe down equipment weekly. If equipment is not working properly please let the service department know. The pools need to be filled to operating levels.
- Clean In-ground & on-ground pools stairs and around the water lines in all pools
- Rocks to be put back around the above-ground pools
- All pool accessories to be mounted on the fence or in their proper home, never leave hoses, vacuum equipment, leaf skimmers and skimmer lids laying on the ground or decks
- Backwash pools weekly or as needed.
- Clean the multi-cyclone weekly after vacuuming the on-ground pool
