Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous experience working with the special needs' population
- Bachelor's Degree or currently enrolled in a University program related to Behavioural Science, Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, criminology, social work, Personal support worker or Early Childhood Development (preferred).
- Ability to sit, stand, kneel, bend over, crouch down, and sit/play on the floor for extended periods of time.
- Ability to be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs without assistance from another person.
- Ability to respond to behaviors in an appropriate manner.
- Ability to utilize CPI and under no circumstance restrain, hold, pinch, push, hit or provide any physical or mental discomfort to the child or adult.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the client is safe and comfortable.
- Manage resources and time effectively to ensure timely service delivery to clients.
- Provide personal care to clients that need assistance.
- Manage client behavior in crisis situations.
- Promote client self-reliance by supporting and encouraging clients to take responsibility for their own actions and overall well-being.
- Reach out to other professionals when the client is not reaching their goals.
- Engage clients into activities according to their customized schedule.
- Provide support and assistance to clients when necessary.
- Ensure daily reports are filed and submitted.
- Drive clients to parks, appointments etc.
- Be a friend to the client.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Part-time hours: 30-40 per week

**Salary**: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
