Reporting to the Executive Vice-President, Business Development and Client Partnerships, you will be responsible for growing the Private Wealth business. In this regard, you will implement business development and client partnership strategies for our private wealth and family office clients. You will also support The Co-operators in rolling out our investment strategies. You will contribute to increasing revenues and strengthening Addenda Capital’s market positioning as a key player in sustainable investing.
**Key Responsibilities**
- You manage the team responsible for business development and client services for private wealth clients;
- You develop and execute the strategies to increase our market share in the Private Wealth sector;
- You leverage our relationship with The Co-operators to optimize the distribution of our mutual funds and to increase our private wealth and retail clientele;
- You offer an exceptional client experience and level of service;
- You build partnerships and maintain effective relationships with brokers, family offices and key stakeholders;
- You develop communication tools to meet clients’ needs;
- You are actively involved in achieving the company’s financial targets for the Private Wealth sector;
- You present Addenda’s sustainable investing approach to clients;
- You develop and improve the work processes under your responsibility.
**Profile Sought**
**Experience and Knowledge**
- You have a minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar role in the investment industry;
- You have a proven track record in business development and management with private wealth clients;
- You have extensive investment knowledge;
- You have a thorough understanding of the Private Wealth market, including the regulatory environment, market trends and competition;
- You are a CFA charterholder;
- You are registered or eligible for registration as portfolio manager with the appropriate provincial securities commission;
- You have a university degree, preferably in finance, economics or business administration;
- A financial planner designation in your province and a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) will be considered important assets.
**Skills and Abilities**
- You possess interpersonal skills and a client-oriented approach which allow you to maintain excellent relationships with various stakeholders;
- You exercise a high degree of autonomy in the execution of your work;
- You are known for your ethical standards;
- Your knowledge of taxation, retirement and estate planning, and/or law will be considered important assets;
- You are fluent in French and English (oral and written);
- You are available for occasional business travel.
