**Job description**

We are currently looking for a responsible, dedicated and reliable 309A Certified Maintenance and Construction Journeyperson to join our team on a full-time permanent basis within the Greater Toronto Area.

About the position:

- Largely servicing the commercial sector but may involve some work in the residential sector;
- Must be available for on-call and after-hour emergencies (including weekends and holidays) and frequent overnight work;
- Must have the ability to work flexible hours to serve our customers;
- Be driven to produce high quality work with the upmost safety standards with zero deficiencies following Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) standards;
- Be able to travel around the Greater Toronto Area, and occasionally may require travel to other areas of Ontario.

Roles and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

- Be willing to drive around the Greater Toronto Area for service calls;
- Identifying materials and quantities required for new installations and repairs;
- Troubleshooting and repairing a wide variety of electrical components;
- LED lighting installations, retrofits, and repairs;
- Installation and repair of outdoor lighting, including parking lots;
- Warehouse electrical installations, maintenance and repair;
- Servicing, maintenance and repair of retail stores and restaurants;
- Installation of standby and large permanent commercial generators (750KW);
- Installation of indoor commercial and residential lighting and outlets;
- Commercial extension renovations and build outs;
- Panel board repairs and upgrades;
- Indoor, outdoor and underground wiring.
- Minimum of 3 years of electrical experience;
- Have an active Skilled Trades of Ontario (formerly Ontario College of Trades) membership in good standing;
- Excellent trouble shooting skills and have a solid knowledge of electrical theory and practice;
- Demonstrate efficiency in identifying materials and qualities needed for a job;
- Ability to complete work orders, which involve: providing a clear and concise description of work performed and account for an accurate amount of materials used;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language;
- Have a valid G license with a clean driving record (driving abstract may be required);
- Be willing to work at heights and have previous experience and safety training to do so;
- Excellent customer service skills in which the customer is always put first with a high degree of professionalism;
- Be able to work alone and work in a team setting;
- Responsible, reliable and dedicated;
- Willing to learn new things and take on challenging projects;
- Must have own hand tools;
- Must have reliable transportation to reach pre-determined meet-up locations, which you will then travel to worksites within a company vehicle.
