Draftsperson - Civil

Job Title: Draftsperson

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled draftsperson to join our team. As a draftsperson, you will play a crucial role in creating technical drawings and plans used in construction projects, including roadway, dam and bridge construction. Your attention to detail and proficiency in CAD software, especially Civil 3D will be essential in producing accurate and detailed layout drawings and as-builts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop 2D and 3D AutoCAD/Civil3D drawings, layouts, shop drawings etc. for the construction, fabrication and planning purposes
- Assist the PM to review and process shop drawings, assemble and prepare documents of complex nature i.e. RFIs, RTMs, project submittals etc.
- Other technical duties to support project manager, engineers and site supervisors
- Assist in inspection of construction activities if needed
- Work with site surveyor to generate layout files and as-built drawings/reports
- Review and modify designs to ensure accuracy
- Incorporate feedback from team members to make necessary revisions

Qualifications:

- Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
- Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
- Proven experience as a draftsperson or similar role
- Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD
- Familiarity with surveying layout and Civil 3D is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of drafting standards and techniques

Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 55 per week

Supplemental pay types:

**Experience**:

- AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
- drafting: 1 year (preferred)
