- Temps Plein**Position Overview**:
As part of this project, we are looking for a Junior Technician to support the disassembly and commissioning activities of the Land Command Support System (LCSS) at Canadian Forces Base Valcartier.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide vehicle mechanic and/or technician services for the maintenance and repair of vehicle systems and subsystems
- Perform electronic and/or electrical technician services associated with the maintenance and repair of vehicle and in-vehicle communication systems
- Perform installation and operation of test sensors and programmable data loggers used in equipment testing
- Prepare vehicle, install hardware and flash LCSS firmware for equipment installed in Department of National Defense (DND) vehicles in accordance with DND safety policy and installation instructions provided by DND, using jig hand tools and other installation devices
- Review and interpret drawings and schematics required for vehicle inspection, testing and validation
- Update and maintain the Tactical Asset Configuration Information System (TACIS) database
- Assist with vehicle inspection and site acceptance testing (SAT)

**Qualifications**:

- Be proficient in both official languages
- Minimum of a high school diploma/certificate
- Valid standard first aid certificate and a valid Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) certificate, or be eligible to obtain one
- One (1) year of cumulative experience within the last five (5) years as a technician working in the field of equipment commissioning and tactical support, including tactical communications, tactical information and situational awareness systems
- One (1) year of experience in providing: (A or B)

A. Technical support to Canadian Army Land Command Systems or;
B. Technical support for a digital mobile communication system that includes and integrates voice and data communications systems

**Additional Requirements**:

- You will be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Secret level
