Sewing Machine Operator/seamstress

Cherry Textiles is seeking an expert Dressmaker/Sewing Machine Operator who is skilled in working with both heavier and fine fabrics (velvet, cashmere). The Operator will work on custom-made jackets, coats, light upholstery items, pillows, quilts and duvets.

**Qualifications**:

- Creative and artistic ability required to reproduce samples working directly with designer/owner
- Minimum 5 years custom sewing preferred
- Must be able to read professional hand-drawn patterns with excellent finishing skills
- Good English communication skills required
- Desire to work in a professional, modern atelier work environment in Downtown Toronto

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-24 per week

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

- Monday to Friday
