**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented School Cleaner to join our team. As a School Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the school/church premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Clean and sanitize classrooms, including floors and other surfaces.
- Empty garbage, recycling bins, and organic waste containers daily.
- Sweep and mop floors in classrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Vacuum carpets and rugs as needed.
- Perform detailed cleaning of all bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
- Clean and disinfect water fountains, door handles, and other high-touch surfaces.
- Restock bathroom and classroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with occasional cleanup for school events and activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in cleaning and janitorial services, preferably in a school or similar environment.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and with a team and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning duties.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and visitors.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification in cleaning or custodial services is a plus.
- Experience with floor care (sweeping, mopping, waxing) and carpet cleaning.

**Working Conditions**:

- This position requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- May involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and fumes, so adherence to safety protocols is essential.

**Schedule**:

- Monday - Friday 5:30pm-10:30pm
- Starting rate is $19/hour
