This role sits within Laurentian Bank
Within the Real Estate Department, the Portfolio Manager will be responsible for the Real Estate business loan portfolio. This person will be responsible for developing Real Estate business products and facilitating the cross-selling of these products and services intended for the Real Estate Financing Group.

For the first 12 months of this position, the successful incumbent will be part of a recent graduate rotational training program. This program will take you through the different departments within the Real Estate Lending Group, from credit to documentation and security, to working closely with underwriters and sales teams. You will gain the opportunity to learn and grow within the Real Estate team and put into action portfolio management, sales, and credit analysis skills in collaboration with experienced Bank colleagues. This is a full-time position.

**Responsibilities**:
- Assist the team in the day to day management of an existing Commercial Real Estate loan portfolio. The loan portfolio consists of term, bridge, and construction mortgages;-
- Participate actively with the business development plan for current and potential customers whose financial needs correspond to LBC offerings;-
- Gather information in preparation for the comprehensive loan submission for presentation and approval;-
- Uses expertise acquired in the field to analyze and summarize relevant information;-
- Maintain good relationships with current and potential customers and provide them with personalized service;-
- Complete and submit annual reviews for existing Term, Bridge, and Construction loans;Identify irregular accounts in loan portfolio and communicate concerns with Account Management;-
- Develop, maintain and optimize communication with internal and external stakeholders in the Real Estate industry;-
- Receive and process’ Borrower requests in a timely manner (i.e annual statement, partial discharge);-
- Prepare commitment, renewal, and amendment letters;-
- Carry out work in accordance with standard practices, policies and objectives and ensures the follow-up and completion of Compliance reports (KYC & AML) taking into account current legislation as well as the Bank's policies, programs and procedures;-
- Identify and analyze the risk associated with the client’s business activities and propose solutions to manage identified risks;-
- Index pertinent loan details in the Bank’s internal rating software to determine the borrower risk profile;-
- Keep updated on market trends, current legislation and the Bank’s policies, procedures, products and services;-
- Perform all tasks of similar or general nature as requested.**Qualifications**:

- University degree in a related field preferably in Real Estate, Finance or business administration;- 1 year of experience is an asset;-
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office;-
- Strong communication skills (oral and written);-
- Good interpersonal skills;-
- Team player;-
- Autonomous, sense of initiative and ability to learn with peers or independently;-
