As a GFL Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible in coordinating, monitoring, assisting and improving the service activities of the plant personnel. You will provide support and ensure services are effective and customer requirements and requests are met.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Support of Scale Administrator and Operations as needed**:
Support / Communicate with Operations Supervisor daily to ensure production expectations are being met.
Help run the system when needed by Operations.
Report contamination received to carriers with photo documentation
Provide ticket information monthly to carriers
Enforce PPE and sign in/out procedure. Greets visitors to plant, contacts appropriate staff when visitors arrive.
Enter all shipping information into reports as needed
Maintain shared folder information for staff
Support scale for lunch breaks, sick time, vacation
Review night shift tasks are complete, fill in where necessary
Communicate with carriers on updates to company policy
Ensure weight limits are met for each outgoing shipment
Reschedule trucks as needed
Advise the next shift of any special instructions carrying over from day shift
Provide training to new scale personnel as required.

**Administrative**:
Answers all phone calls in a professional manner
Creates and maintains filing system(s).
Work with GFL office systems and procedures (ETS, cieTrade)
Provides operational training and support to staff.
Coordinate outbound load requirements and inventory levels with Head Office and carriers to ensure efficient movement of loads from the facility.
Enter all company supply purchases in ETS accounting system with instruction from head office, supply POs for purchases
Maintain account information, payments and report on status
Set up new accounts, check GST/HST registry
Order and coordinate supplies/parts for equipment
Sourcing local venders, hauling, cleaning, etc.
Create internal training documents, work order tracking, site inspection forms, load forms. Etc.
Other duties as assigned

**Reporting**:
Creates assigned reports for Plant Management, Head Office and City of Winnipeg. This includes weekly, monthly and yearly reports.
Inputs information to the GFL systems and creates the reports. Works with GFL support team on existing and new reporting.

**Training and Orientation**:
Create support documentation for orientation
Training provided to new scale employees
Provides safety training as required

**Employee Relations**:
Member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee provides assistance in the use of the Flex safety program and safety programs as outlined in the Manitoba Safety and Health Act, related regulations and GFL policies and procedures. Organize monthly JHSC meetings, create minutes for previous meetings and report back to management. This includes site inspections, accident investigations, near misses reporting and recommendation follow up.
Create and maintain site SDS binders and inventory levels
Maintain safety bulletin board, post and create notices for new information
Assist with various employee forms and questions
Create documentation needed for hazard avoidance
Communicate with Senior Management, administrative, supervisory and plant staff as required.
Provide and/or participate in training as required.
Comply with company rules, federal and provincial regulations as well policies.
Other duties as assigned.
