**SUMMARY**

Under the direction and supervision of the Building Manager, this person will provide Janitorial support.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Contributes to a welcoming community/environment for all residents and the public.
- Ensures all high touch areas are sanitized daily.
- Vacuum & wash floors in meeting rooms, offices and other areas as required.
- Vacuum & wash floors, doors, door handles, walls, kitchen surfaces, couches, other furniture.
- Monthly Floor Maintenance
- Use and maintain supplied equipment.
- Follow instructions in the use of cleaning chemicals as per WHMIS.
- Empty and clean waste baskets and dispose of waste in dumpster.
- Clean windows and window ledges monthly.
- Assist with the set up and take down of facilities as needed.
- Order janitorial supplies as needed - send to Office Manager
- Maintain and organize storage areas and equipment.
- Other related duties as needed.
- Report all damage or safety concerns in writing within 24 hours to Building Manager.
- Attend all mandatory training as required.

**SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**:

- This position requires sound judgment, good communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- This person is a socially sensitive, who provides a safe, secure and respectful environment and embraces the vision to improve relationships for people while encouraging and reinforcing traditional practices and cultural beliefs.
- A minimum of 1 year experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Self-starter; able to successfully work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directions and stay organized.
- Maintain safe work practices and perform all duties as required to ensure a safe environment for all.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage stresses and crisis as required.
- Reliable, integral, and accountable.
- Clear criminal record and vulnerable person checks.

**MANDATORY**:

- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License and have a reliable vehicle that can be used for work where necessary.
- Must provide Criminal Record Check and Drivers Abstract.
- Must be available to travel where necessary and be able to work flexible in hours if necessary.
- Valid First Aid, WHIMIS, food safe

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
