This role offers a **hybrid**work arrangement (in office up to 50% of the time).
The salary range for this position is **$70,000 - $85,000.**
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- **Manage Legal Files and Support Litigation Process**:
Organize and maintain legal files, ensuring documents are current and accessible. Conduct basic legal analysis to support litigation, dispute resolution, and insurance claims. Gather evidence, review court documents, and prepare summaries and correspondence. Propose courses of action and coordinate with internal teams and external counsel to facilitate case management.
- **Support Insurance Claims and Transactions**:
Collect and secure documentation for insurance claims and due diligence processes. Prepare claim-related documents, summaries, and timelines, while ensuring compliance with insurance policies. Coordinate with insurers, brokers, and external counsel to streamline claims and transaction processes.
- **Draft Contracts and Maintain Compliance Records**:
Draft, review, and prepare contracts using templates to ensure consistency and accuracy. Support corporate compliance by managing registrations, privacy reporting, and other record-keeping activities. Maintain and update legal document templates to ensure alignment with current regulations and company standards.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 3 years managing legal files in a law firm or corporate workplace.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is an asset.
- Confidentiality.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
