**We have an immediate opening for a** **Maintenance Attendant (Peel Region)**
**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Property Manager, this position is responsible to perform a variety of basic and routine repairs and services to buildings, grounds, and equipment, on a day to day basis, and in a safe and secure manner.
**Starting Salary **:$47,227

**What will you be doing?**
- Complete regularly received resident maintenance request items, as required.
- Serve various (prepared) notices and correspondence to residents, as required.
- Conduct site inspections, identify deficiencies, and suggest and implement corrective action(s).
- Schedule, assign, and conduct preventative and ongoing maintenance.
- Maintain and keep (company) tools and equipment in good, working order.
- Complete any maintenance required in vacant units; prepare units for new residents (i.e. unit turnovers).
- Remove litter from around the property.
- Make preliminary diagnosis and refer major electrical, HVAC, water system, life safety systems and elevator faults to the Building Manager.
- May assist with the snow clearing/salting program, as necessary.
- Determine maintenance supplies and equipment needs for the operations of the property.
- Assist with conducting monthly fire alarm testing.
- Arrange and schedule work according to priorities determined by the Property Manager.
- Perform other related duties as described in the position’s Job Summary.
- Experienced with maintenance of residential properties (including town houses)
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Reliable; has a positive, customer-service oriented attitude
- Excellent English language communication skills - written, spoken, and listening
- Comfortable with basic maintenance and repair and with using most tools
- Possession of a valid and unrestricted Class G Ontario Driver’s License
**Special Requirements and Working Conditions**
- Must be bondable and prepared to execute the Bondability Affidavit
- This position is open only to those legally entitled to work for any employer in Canada.
- The position is based primarily at _**14 Stokes Road, Brampton, Ontario**_**, **but may also include some work at other properties in the area.
- Required to wear company provided personal protective equipment regularly.
- Hours of employment are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday to Friday + rotating on-call responsibilities.
- Frequent exposure to the elements.
